# Heatmaps Improvements

A revamp of Heatmaps to make it simpler, more reliable, and easier to use.

## What it is

**Description:** It’s now easier to create and understand heatmaps. You can capture screenshots from a replay or directly from your site, capture exact states like hover menus, and map individual heatmaps to a single corresponding screenshot. We’ve also cleaned up the placement accuracy using selectors, automated device detection instead of manual selection, simplified the UI, and updated the design of scrollmap so it’s clearer where the average fold is and how far users make it down the screen.
